Lip Falls/Denham Scenic Reserve - Guided Walk: Fri 31 Mar 2023

Short guided to Lip Falls/Denham Scenic Reserve (9.00am to 12.00pm)
3km / 2 hour walk (grade 3)

We have been granted access to Beechmont's Lip Falls (near the Denham Scenic Reserve), via a local private property. After meeting at the local Graceleigh Park, we car-pool another 5 minutes to the private property, and begin our descent into the gorge. Please be advised that this track features many steps (approx descent/ascent of 80m). Upon reaching Lip Falls, we can relax beside the beautiful pool, hidden in the heart of the gorge. Sit and watch the dragonflies, cool off with dip and enjoy some morning tea in the sunshine before we begin our return ascent. If time and energy allows, we may explore the gorge a little further upstream or downstream. We return via the same route.

$35 - BYO food & drinks but a light morning tea is provided

We meet at Graceleigh Park, Beechmont where there's good parking a public toilets. We can consolidate car-pool options if required (track entrance is a further 5 minute drive).

NOTE: we require a minimum number of guests for all our guided walks which allows us to cover the cost of your guide/s who work hard to ensure you enjoy your hike. Please understand that if this minimum number is not reached, we may have to cancel the walk and you will be issued a full refund.

Inclusions:

• guidance and interpretation by up to two local, experienced guides (1 guide / 8 guests)
• wilderness first aid & CPR trained guides
• light morning tea

Bring:

• day pack with lunchbox & 2-3 L water
• waterproof jacket
• 2-3 layers of quick drying outdoor clothing
• comfortable hiking boots or shoes (ankle protection advised)
• hiking poles if preferred
• swimmers, towel
• hat, sunglasses & buff
