Lip Falls/Denham Scenic Reserve - Guided Walk: Sat 01 July 2023

Short guided to Lip Falls/Denham Scenic Reserve (9.00am to 12.00pm)
3km / 2 hour walk (grade 3)

We have been granted access to Lip Falls, via local private property. The track begins following the Denham Scenic Reserve trail, which grants us a view of Denham Falls - one of the largest in the Denham Gorge. We continue further, crossing into private property, and begin our descent into the gorge. Please be advised that this track features many steps (estimated descent/ascent of 80m). Upon reaching Lip Falls, we enjoy the beautiful swimming hole hidden in the heart of the gorge where you can cool off with a dip and enjoy some morning tea in the sunshine before we begin our return ascent. If we have time to spare or it's too cold for a dip, we may walk/rock-hop further up or down stream to visit one of the other waterfalls in the reserve.

We meet at Graceleigh Park, Beechmont where our guides can decide which track entrance best suits, and we can consolidate car-pool options if required (track entrance is a further 5 minute drive).

NOTE: we require a minimum number of guests for all our guided walks which allows us to cover the cost of your guide/s who work hard to ensure you enjoy your hike. Please understand that if this minimum number is not reached, we may have to cancel the walk and you will be issued a full refund.

Inclusions:

• guidance and interpretation by up to two local, experienced guides (1 guide / 8 guests)
• first aid & CPR trained guides
• light morning tea

Bring:

• day pack with lunchbox & 2-3 L water
• waterproof jacket
• 2-3 layers of quick drying outdoor clothing
• comfortable hiking boots or shoes (ankle protection advised)
• hiking poles if preferred
• hat, sunglasses & buff
