Get ready to glow at LIPS INC: RETRO RAVE, taking over Stonewall Newtown on Saturday, August 22, from 4pm to 9pm!

We’re turning back the clock for five electric hours of 90s and 2000s R&B, dancefloor classics, throwback anthems and retro club favourites. Expect the songs you grew up dancing to, the tracks you still know every word to and plenty of irresistible party bangers.

This is a full UV night, so wear your brightest whites, fluoro colours and anything that comes alive under blacklight. Our UV body-painting station will be creating glowing designs throughout the event, with blacklights transforming the venue into a luminous retro-rave playground.

Your host for the evening is Australian Drag King legend Sexy Galexy. With more than 30 years of experience as a performer, DJ, producer and queer community event-maker, Sexy will bring the glamour, camp mischief and dancefloor energy while spinning a selection of 90s and 2000s favourites.

Multi-award-winning entertainer, producer, makeup artist and DJ Jackel Doll will deliver both a high-energy DJ set and a live performance. Known for bold visuals, polished productions and fabulous stage presence, Jackel will keep the retro-rave energy pumping.

Fresh, theatrical and full of charisma, Boye Sivan will take to the stage with a special Drag King performance. After exploding onto the scene through Soulpepper’s Queer Youth Cabaret, this glittering pop prince is ready to serve fantasy, attitude and plenty of star power.

Sydney party-starter DJ Billie Baddie will also be behind the decks, bringing the party bangers and keeping the dancefloor moving with nostalgic hits, R&B favourites and classic throwback tunes.
