Kate Leopold is an inspiring singer-songwriter – an indie folk artist who decribes her music as ‘earthy indie acoustic folk’. With her guitar, harmonica and drum, Kate Leopold cultivates a place for you to steep in the sounds of nature inspired, healing, Australian folk music - a space for us to create a safer, more joyful and inclusive humanity. A place where we encourage and empower each other, we lift each other up - all is welcome. Kate sings for the awakening of healing, authentic expression and deeper connection. Seeing Kate perform live is an experience, a journey where everyone is invited to smile, move and burst out in song - weaving in her passion for guiding collaborative voice sessions that uplift and energise the body, mind and spirit. Her sound has been likened to a cross hash of Tracey Chapman and the Waifs, with a dash of storytelling.Originally hailing from Cairns, north Queensland, Kate has cultivated a strong local following on the Gold Coast (Kombumerri/Bundjalung country), hosting regular bespoke "sold out" concert events including a series of house concerts and larger events at local community halls to launch her most recent body of work, Rebirth Dreaming in early 2021, following the completion of the recording which was supported by a RADF grant.
