Lismore Community Sound Journey - April

Monthly Community Sound Journeys are back in Lismore.

We are back in the Apollo Hall in Keen Street, a venue that is rich in Lismore history. This was once Lismore's dance hall, steeped in music, dance and joy. It was also the first venue I taught Kundalini Yoga from when I came to Lismore. A perfect spot to share the healing sounds.

A combination of large brass gongs, Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, medicine drum, chimes, rattles and more, interwoven with healing voice, will lead into a state of deep relaxation where your innate ability to heal yourself can ignite. 

Research conducted on various forms of sound healing has revealed positive effects, ranging from stress release through to emotional and physical healing when a positive healing intention is present. This session can be a simple relaxation or a deeper healing process for you. It is what you want to bring. If you are seeking deeper healing, I encourage you to create your healing intention by imagining where you want to go with your healing, and bring this intention of wellness into your sound journey.

Please bring a mat, if you have one, and anything else that will make you comfortable and able to fully relax. This could be a blanket, pillows or cushions. If you do not have a mat there are some at the venue you can use. It is advised to drink plenty of water for sound healing so please bring a water bottle as there is no water readily available at the venue.

It is usual for participants to lie down on the floor for the sound journey, however, if you are unable to lie on the floor, it is just as effective to sit rather than lie down. Bring pillows and cushions that assist you to relax fully in your sitting position.
