Lismore Symphony Orchestra today will embark you on a Journey of Musical Discovery.

This special concert invites audience members of all ages on an exciting journey into the world of the orchestra. Designed to be both educational and inspiring, the program opens up a landscape of sound, rhythm, and imagination—offering the thrill of experiencing a live orchestra up close.

Throughout the performance, audience members will discover how music can tell stories, highlight different instruments, and express a wide range of emotions. The concert features a vibrant selection of beloved works, including:

The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra – Benjamin Britten

A brilliant and playful introduction to each section of the orchestra, offering a guided musical exploration.

Horn Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major – Richard Strauss

A bold and expressive showcase of the horn, filled with energy and character.

L’Arlésienne Suite No. 1& no. 2 – Georges Bizet

A showcase of Bizet's talent for vivid orchestration, folk-inspired themes, and emotional depth.

Mambo from West Side Story – Leonard Bernstein

A high-energy, Latin-inspired celebration that brings the orchestra to life.
