Listen Deep: Movement, Empathy & Authentic Connection

“Listen Deep is a weekend immersion exploring the balance between belonging and individuality through movement, empathy, music, nature, and authentic connection.”

August 21-23, 2026 | The Hearth | Grass Valley, California

What happens when we learn to stay deeply connected to ourselves while also opening to authentic connection with others?

Listen Deep is a three-day immersion exploring the (literal and figurative) dance between interconnectedness and individuation—the art of belonging without losing yourself, and the practice of staying rooted in your own experience while meeting others with openness, depth, empathy, and curiosity, and the magic that happens when we can balance and play with the two.

Through somatic movement, deep listening, nature connection, vocal expression, and community experiences, we'll create a living laboratory where presence becomes the teacher.

This weekend is for those longing to:

Deepen self-connection and emotional awareness
Explore authentic relating and empathy practices
Move their bodies and express themselves skillfully & freely
Connect with nature as a source of wisdom and grounding
Experience a meaningful community without pressure or performance
Discover greater ease in balancing personal authenticity and connection with others
Sing, dance, listen, and be witnessed in their full humanity

Throughout the weekend, we'll pulse between moments of inward reflection and collective experience through:

✨ Cocrea Dance with Wren Lafeet
✨ Vocal Opening Workshops with Maren Metke and Justin Ancheta
✨ Empathy Exchanges and Reflective Listening Practices with Maren Metke
✨ Somatic Movement and Embodiment Explorations
✨ Nature-Based Connection and Reflection
✨ Community Circles and Authentic Relating
✨ Fireside Gatherings Under the Stars
✨ Live Music, Dance, and Evening Celebrations
✨ Pool, Hot Tub, and Relaxation Time

Nestled among the oaks & cedars, alongside the stream of The Hearth, this immersion invites participants into a slower rhythm of life where genuine connection, self-discovery, and community can naturally unfold.
