Nau mai, haere mai!
Slow down, get comfy and listen up as Tūrāhui Payne takes us on a journey through some of his top picks from his vinyl collection, while showing us what his sound system is capable of.
Tūrāhui will be diving into the genre of roots reggae, sharing his insights, some of the history behind each track, and kōrero around sound system culture.
Come along, settle in and enjoy an evening of good music, good vibes and kōrero.
Tea and light refreshments will be provided.
Free to attend. Registration is recommended as capacity is limited.
This event forms part of Ihirangaranga: creation & connection, a multi-week programme presented by Te Whare Tapere from 13 August – 5 September, celebrating Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa, Māori Music Month.
