Listening with the Body - A Harp Journey

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join world-renowned harpist Alice Giles, and her embodiment-facilitator daughter Moran Wiesel in a collaboration between musician and listener. We explore how our whole beings and senses – touch, sight, vibration, hearing, movement, you name it – are enlivening us to listen and respond to the beauty, complexity, and resonance of music and the harp.

Experience a new way of listening to music. Maybe you feel more comfortable lying down, or even moving around as you listen? This alternative program will allow you to experiment with ways to listen using your own body. In the relaxed space and beautiful acoustics of the St James Hall, Alice will share a curated program that explores the inner and outer worlds of music. At the same time, Moran will guide a deepening into our bodies through meditation and movement, inviting a curiosity as to how we might listen deeply within our bodies.
