Listening from the Skin - Embodied Practices for System Change
These two sessions explore the intersections of Somatic movement and performance practices with Regenerative and systems-change work. They will offer participants space to explore a number of different modes of inquiry that work across practices, to access greater sensory and cognitive awareness of physical and social systems. We will explore the relationships between movement practice and systems evolution, and the potential for both fields to cross-pollinate, mutate and/or grow something unique to this place.
Session One - Sunday 10th 1-4pm: Expanding the field: Working with image, movement and invitation to access our physical and social senses as a tool for developing capacity to work from and with essence and potential, as well as working with different levels of a system.
Session two - Saturday 23rd 10-1pm : Collaboration with Potential: Exploring frameworks that work with potential through movement practices, partner and group work. Creative tasks that ask us to embody, mimic, re-present and witness the space between formed and unformed states of being and doing.
If you are in systems-change and transformation spaces, these two workshops will offer new entry points for understanding and working with conscious frameworks of thinking, designing and evolving our practices and projects from a space of whole-being awareness. You will have fun, move your body, gain insights into complex practices, and leave with a few tools that can be applied to your own processes and projects.
Each session will be exploratory and experimental, offering opportunities for participants themselves to add to the collective experience through bringing and utilising their own embodied knowledge.
Please note the day and time change between the first and second workshop.
