FRED NII ADDO

Ghanaian drummer, dancer and multi-instrumentalist coming to Brizzie for one day only! Performing with special guests Nii Addo will perform both a melodic set of flute and song with special guests Adama Fakoly Doumbouya and Elliott Orr. Currently living in Melbourne, Nii Addo has toured widely, sharing his vibrant passion for music and dance form Ghana to Egypt, USA, Israel, Sweden, New Zealand and Australia. Nii Addo is also frontman for well known Victorian Afro-fusion band 'One Spirit Africa'.

SPANKINHIDE

The very existence of Spankinhide is to fuel the fire of dance. Rich rhythms, driving doundoun melodies, crack and boom to fill the room! If you find you're not dancing, might be wise to check your pulse - you may be dead!

ZORMIWASA

EPIC!! No other word quite covers this performance. Some 25 drummers have been learning the Nigerian rhythm SPRANGANEH, Music of the Moon, with Elliott Orr. Zormiwasa will also perform Bolokonondo and Balakulania, two traditional rhythms from Guinea West Africa. Many of Elliott's most dedicated students have been studying and belonging to this community for 1, 2 even almost 3 decades!

This is the very essence of community! Many beautiful souls bringing their love of rhythm and dance into a collective moment of connection and expression.
