Little Experiments, Big Crises: Some Prefab Houses in Australia

Join us for a discussion on recent prefabricated houses in Australia with Blok Modular, Vokes and Peters, Fabprefab, Archier, Candour, Trias, Otetto, and Alexander Symes. The event will feature four thematic sessions—CLT, systems, sustainability, and stereotypes—moderated by USYD faculty.

Our conversations will explore how these "little experiments" offer insights into alternative models of practice, design, construction, collaboration, and delivery. We aim to critically examine the impact of design decisions on addressing current crises, steering clear of both messianic discourses and the notion that only policy and regulation can effect change.
