Little Lenses, Big Discoveries 🌿📷

We’re looking forward to seeing you at our Nature Festival activity, Little Lenses, Big Discoveries!

As part of the Nature Festival, running from 25 September to 11 October 2026, we have 25 digital cameras available to share with 25 families.

The cameras are being provided as part of a special community project that will capture what nature looks like through the eyes of children. Children will have the opportunity to explore their surroundings, notice the little things and photograph the nature that catches their eye.

Following the Nature Festival, a selection of the children’s photographs will be developed and displayed in a special community exhibition at the Minor Works Community Centre. All families who participate and contribute photographs will be invited to attend the exhibition and see nature through the eyes of our young photographers.

Borrowing a camera

If your family receives one of our cameras, we will ask you to provide your contact details when collecting it, as all cameras will need to be returned at the end of the activity.

As we only have 25 cameras available, we may not be able to provide one to every family. You can still take part! Simply bring along your own digital camera or use a mobile phone to capture your child’s discoveries. Photos can then be emailed to us for inclusion in the exhibition.
