• What am I booking?

  You're booking a visit to Little Library.

  Little Library has a limited capacity, so families book a time to enter to make sure everyone has plenty of space to explore, play and discover.

• Is my ticket for everything happening at the State Library of South Australia?

  Your ticket is for entry into Little Library, but there will be lots happening throughout the building during the opening weekend. Think stories, games, making, dancing and other playful surprises. These activities do not require a booking.

• Why do I have to book an entry time?

  Because good things are better when they are not squished! Timed entry helps make Little Library comfortable, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

• How do I get to SLSA by public transport?

  Good news. Getting here is easy.

  The State Library, Art Gallery, Museum tram stop is right outside the library, and there are bus stops nearby on North Terrace, close to the War Memorial. If you're travelling by train, Adelaide Railway Station is just a short walk away.

• Is there car parking nearby?

  There is.

  The closest car park is Wilson's Adelaide Central car park at 225 North Terrace, right next to David Jones. You'll also find paid street parking along Kintore Avenue and Victoria Drive.

• How do I get around with a wheelchair or stroller?

  Little explorers come in all shapes and sizes, and everyone's welcome.

  The Spence Wing first floor and Mortlock Chamber can be accessed via the lift inside the Library's glass foyer.

  Accessible parking is available nearby. You can find maps and information on Adelaide City Council's accessible parking.

  There will be a designated pram parking area for this event.

• What if someone gets hungry?

  Perfectly reasonable. Adventures can be hungry work.

  The State Library Cafe will be open from 10am–4pm on Saturday.

• What if we can't come after all?

  That's okay, sometimes plans change.

  If you can no longer visit, please cancel your booking through Humanitix as soon as possible. You'll find a link to manage your booking in your confirmation email.

  When a booking is cancelled, the spot becomes available for another family waiting to visit Little Library. Offering up your place means another little reader can join the fun.

• Do I need a ticket for babies?

  Yes. Please book a place for every person attending, including babies and children under 1 year old.

• What age is Little Library for?

  Little Library is designed for children aged 0 to 11 and the grown-ups who care for them.
