Come and celebrate South Australian musicians at Cooee Arthouse's 'Live and Local' series, Fridays in June! (except the 30th!)
First up, on June 2nd we have Ella & Sienna + AP D'Antonio.
Ella & Sienna
ELLA & SIENNA, singer-songwriter sisters from the Adelaide Hills, SA have already proven they are amongst the most exciting emerging artists in the Australian music scene today. Renowned for their formidable combination of soaring vocals, captivating sibling harmonies, and catchy pop hooks, the sisters’ original music is a unique blend of pop, country, folk and rock influences. Ella & Sienna recently returned from recording and songwriting on Music Row in Nashville TN, performed on main stages at Tamworth and Groundwater Country Music Festivals, were voted Most Popular Country Artist at SA Music Awards, featured on The Voice 2022, and the list goes on… So universal is their appeal, Ella & Sienna are equally at home playing Country, Folk or Blues festivals, and have shared the stage with many Australian music legends including John Schumann and & Kasey Chambers.
AP D'Antonio
AP works within the boundaries of the folk tradition to bring an authentic old time folk, country and blues sound to his one man show. Think Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Dave Van Ronk and Tom Waits all rolled into one tidy charismatic, rambling, gambling man, train hopping foot stomping show.
AP has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the likes of The Whitlams, John Schumann, Eric Bogle, Jeff Lang, Ben Ottewell (Gomez) and has enjoyed successful shows and festivals from New York to Mexico, from Adelaide to Cooktown and everywhere in between.
