Live and Local - Professional Development - How to Book Gigs

This event has passed Register

Event description

A panel of local music industry professionals will present their ideas and opinions on the best way to approach booking gigs, each from their own individual perspective.  Attendees will hear from Union Hotel Tumbarumba manager, Martin Wilton; Rock The Turf festival organiser and owner of Snowy Sound Surgery, Clayton Denson and; established local solo artist, Andrew Wörtz.  The panel discussion will be facilitated by artist manager, Falling Leaf Festival Entertainment Co-ordinator and Snowy Valleys Council Live and Local Curator, Samantha Taylor.

There will be opportunities for Q&A, plus time to network after the presentation to get to know those involved in our local music scene, right here in the Snowy Valleys.

A highly recommended presentation for those starting out in the music industry and for those wishing to increase their presence.  All levels of experience welcome.  Not limited to musicians/performers; this presentation is open to anyone interested in booking/programming live music (eg. venue/business owners/managers, event organisers), music teachers/educators/students and generally anyone with a passion for live music within the Snowy Valleys LGA.

Professional Development programmed by MusicNSW.
