This is one of a few emails with some key information for the lead up and for the camp itself:

WHAT TO BRING

At the bottom of the email is a list of recommended items/clothing to wear…

PAYMENT
If you haven’t paid the full amount for camp, please ensure you do so before Thursday 3rd September 7pm to ensure your child can come on camp.

START/FINISH OF CAMP

The address for the Camp is Woodend Christian Camp, 124 Woodend Beach Road, Woodend.

Dinner will NOT be provided for on the first night, therefore ensure they have eaten beforehand. Please ensure kids are there at 6pm on Friday 11th September, unless you communicate otherwise.

Please be there by 1pm latest to pick up your kids on Sunday 13th September, otherwise we may have to charge for overstaying. We have some kids from our last year's LIVE Camp still waiting for parents to pick them up (this is a joke!)

CABIN ALLOCATIONS
We will be placing majority of kids in their own church groups, and if there’s extras we will make sure they are with someone they know. We are all one Whanau, so we would love all kids to be mindful and include others. Let’s show Jesus to each other in the way we love!

We feel soo honoured to have such an epic band join us for LIVE Camp as we worship our King!

BAKING
We have some amazing world-class cooks catering for us. But we would love help with Supper and Break Times…If you have time and are keen to bake for camp, it would greatly appreciated – thank you! If you do, please make sure you clearly label your containers so that we can give them to you at the end of camp. Also please just label if they are gluten free/dairy free/ nut free etc. I’m going to put on 10kg from this camp!

LIVE Camp’s Got Talent
On the Saturday afternoon, we are doing “LIVE Camp’s Got Talent”, so if your child would like to bring any instruments, gear etc, they are welcome too! There’s a $50 prize up for grabs! I’ve got my triangle ready :)

BAPTISMS
We have just LOVED finishing our camp with baptisms the past 2 years, and we already have a few intermediates signed up to get baptised. We aim to baptise at Woodend Beach around 12.15pm. If you want to join us, we would love to have you come along. If your young person is also interested in getting baptised, please reply to this email or message Ben on 0223132720. (NOTE: We will NOT be baptising any intermediates without parents' permission and discussion prior to the day.)

Lastly would you join us in prayer! Pray for safety, protection from sickness, no accidents and for good weather but most of all...
We are praying for you and your wonderful kids as they prepare for camp. We pray that they will encounter Jesus and have life transformation that not only changes their world, but the world around them. We love them so much! Get ready for a generation knowing who they are in Jesus and His WILD love for them!

LIVE Camp Gear List

(All campers are in charge of their own property, we are not responsible if damaged)

- Large bag or suitcase (to keep everything in)

- Sleeping bag

- Blanket (in case it turns cold at night)

- Pillow & pillow case

Clothing:

- PJ’s/Onesie

- Warm jersey or bush shirt (woollen or fleece)

- Sweatshirt

- T-shirts (enough for each day)

- Shorts

- Trousers

- Underwear - enough for each day

- Thermal Underwear – (polypropylene or Long Johns)

- Socks (enough for each day + a spare pair)

- Waterproof jacket / raincoat preferably with hood

- Sneakers/Covered shoes (these are necessary for activities)

- Spare shoes, sandals or Jandals (not suitable for activities)

- Toilet Bag: Toothbrush /Toothpaste/ Face Cloth / Soap/Hair brush

- Drink Bottle

- Torch and spare batteries

- Towel & Togs (suggest one piece for girls)

- Sun hat

- Sun block and Insect repellent

- Plastic bags (for dirty & wet clothes)

- Medication (to be given to camp leader/first Aid person with written instructions)

Others:

- Bible, pen & notepad

- Instruments/ sports balls (optional- LEADERS VS KIDS Football on Saturday where we humble your kids - this year is our year to win!!!)

- Baking/ Biscuits(optional but gladly welcomed!!)

- Snacks and lollies are optional But a bonus for kids and Leaders!!!

- a Good sense of humour to put up with Ben’s puns!

- we would encourage NOT to bring phones as this is a camp we want to connect with each other, but please let leaders know if kids need phones on camp.
