LIVE MUSIC: RUBY ARCHER + MIA PETRA
Event description
Picture this.
You are walking through Gosford after struggling through another day - shuffling on this mortal coil. Your weary legs begin to walk you through the sprawling metropolis of Kibble Park. Feeling run down and avoiding eye contact at all costs, a soulful yearning sound washes over you, fills your ears and your mind. Your thoughts are suddenly perforated by 5-part harmonies, sweet piano melodies, cascading violin solos, and extremely funky bass lines. Mystified, you find yourself drawn to the sound, having forgotten how tired and unhappy you were, and in the blink of an eye, you have walked yourself into The Naughty Noodle Fun Haus. You are losing yourself in the intoxicating sonic experience that is the music of Ruby Archer and Mia Petra. You think to yourself, ‘this is the greatest day of my life’ - and it is true. Your life is never the same again.
Okay this may be going a bit far… but you will never know unless you bring your dancing shoes and jazzy moves to the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus on March 15 and experience this truly breathtaking and empowered line up. If you enjoy punch in the gut lyrics paired with soulful piano and a dose of funk and rock that simply cannot be tamed, you will not want to miss Ruby and the Groovy Doobies. Supported by Newcastle based folky, soulful, jazzy 6-piece Mia Petra, this will be a night you would be completely bummed to miss out on. In 20 years’ time, Central Coast residents will be sitting around their dinner tables saying ‘do you remember the Ruby Archer and Mia Petra gig at the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus? What a night that was.’ Someone’s friend will remark that they weren’t there, and there will be pitiful silence lasting at least a couple of minutes as everyone else at the table inwardly feels pity for the poor chap who made the fatal error of not purchasing tickets to this gig.
Do not let this be you.
