LIVENESS
Description
Presented by Lucy Guerin Inc, LIVENESS is an exciting program for the Melbourne dance community to come together and explore improvisational movement in a fun, open environment.
Rebecca Jensen and Sarah Aiken will guide participants through a warm-up and series of provocations, working with the body, performance and imagination. Participants will then be invited to explore improvisational performance—responding to the environment and each other within structures proposed by Bec and Sarah.
Bec and Sarah will draw from their collaborative practice, developed over the past 10 years creating experimental performance—often working with participation and improvisation.
LIVENESS is open to all dancers. Observers are also welcome to attend and are encouraged to come from 7.30pm.
At the end of the session everyone is invited to stay back for the after-party, with drinks and yummy refreshments provided.
