Living Lightly - Rag Rug Making

Curious about rag rug making but not sure where to begin? This relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop introduces the foundations of rag rug making using recycled and repurposed fabrics. Participants will explore how to prepare materials, understand the process, and begin creating their own rug in a supportive environment.

The focus is on getting started and building confidence rather than completing a finished rug on the day. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of how to continue your project at home and practical knowledge you can build on at your own pace.

This free workshop is part of the Living Lightly series and is run by Bass Coast Adult Learning in partnership with Bass Coast Shire Council.
