Come and be Immortalised as a Work of Art in the Living Portrait Theatre! A FREE Interactive Performance and Live Art Experience.

The Living Portrait Theatre is an interactive community art project that creates live public artworks with participating audiences.

We welcome YOU to participate in a shared creative experience that celebrates our wider community and their stories.

Playfully, our performers come to life and interact with you, our visitors. Together we will spontaneously create artists and artworks with our audiences and members of the local community.

Audience members are then invited to join in. If they wish to participate, audience members may enter the Portrait Theatre and transform themselves into living artworks. They have agency to create their own characters, express their personality and explore the power of the audience’s gaze.

The experience is uplifting, surprising, playful, accessible and fun.

We invite you to take your own photos of participants and friends. Printed photos can also be created for purchase. Note: This is a free experience and there is no obligation to purchase photos.

30 min sessions have been created in the ticketing system, but you are welcome to stay beyond the session times and continue to enjoy the experience.
