Have you wondered how you can make your life more sustainable? Do you want to respond positively to issues like climate change? Do you want to meet people who care about the earth like you do?

Living Smart is a 7-week course (plus an additional field trip) that will inspire you to make sustainable changes in your own home with your family. The course is designed with the needs of participants in mind and includes topics such as reducing waste, living simply, saving power and water, sustainable gardening and more.

The course will be held in the City’s Civic Centre Reception Room from 6pm to 8:30pm on the following dates:

  • Thursday 22 May 2025
  • Thursday 29 May 2025
  • Thursday 5 June 2025
  • Thursday 12 June 2025
  • Thursday 19 June 2025
  • Thursday 26 June 2025

This course will be facilitated by the team from Ecoburbia - Shani Graham and Tim Darby, the most experienced Living Smart facilitators in Australia. 

Shani and Tim are personally committed to making their own lives more sustainable and have been sharing their experience and running Living Smart courses for over ten years. Shani has a background in education and Tim in art and building – together they make an inspiring team!

Course components include cooperative learning opportunities, group activities, demonstrations, hands on activities, short talks, guest presentations, outings and a hands-on gardening session.

This Living Smart Course is free for City of South Perth residents. Places are limited, book early to avoid missing out!
