Living Stories Readers Theater Lab Final Presentation
Description
What stories do we carry with us—and what happens when we share them?
Join us for the final presentation of Living Stories: Readers Theatre Lab, a 8-week community storytelling and performance program bringing together people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Over ten weeks, participants have come together to build connections, exchange stories and transform lived experiences into original performance pieces exploring migration, identity, culture and belonging.
Using an inclusive Readers Theatre approach, participants have developed their own stories and scripts and brought them to life through reading, performance, movement, sound and music. Stories may be shared in English and other languages, reflecting the rich cultural experiences of the community.
The final presentation is a celebration of the participants and the stories they have created together—stories that can be funny, moving, surprising, thoughtful and deeply human.
You'll hear stories of leaving home and finding home, navigating new cultures and languages, discovering unexpected connections, remembering where we come from, and imagining where we belong.
Living Stories is more than a performance. It is an opportunity to listen, connect and celebrate the many experiences that make up our community.
Come along to support the participants, experience their creativity and share in an evening of storytelling, laughter, reflection and connection.
Everyone is welcome.

Living Stories has been designed to be welcoming and accessible to people from diverse cultural, linguistic and life experiences.
The Readers Theatre format means performers do not need to memorise scripts, creating a lower-pressure and more inclusive way to participate in performance.
The presentation includes multilingual storytelling and may include spoken English alongside other languages.
We welcome audiences of all cultural backgrounds and encourage anyone who is curious about community stories, migration, culture and belonging to attend.
Please contact the event organisers if you have specific access requirements or questions about accessibility at the venue.
