Living the Good Life : Stick and Start
Description
Living the Good Life Community Museum & Workshops
Join us and learn to grow fuss free, healthy regional edibles using cuttings. This hands-on workshop covers easy propagation techniques, care tips, and permaculture practices to help you cultivate productive crops at home or as a community. By being with the senior growers at The Goodman Community Farm you will also learn about closed-loop soil building methods relevant in small urban spaces.
After the workshop walk through the Living the Good Life photo exhibition which aims to find solutions to the question:
How can a permaculture space like The Goodman Community Farm foster community connections, health and purpose through food, nature and art among seniors in our neighbourhood?
___
Living the Good Life is a community museum created with and by seniors from the Goodman Community Farm and the surrounding neighbourhood.
Co-organised by Cultivate Central and Seniors Action for Greater Empowerment (SAGE) at NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, this photo exhibition brings together a year of heartfelt photography, participatory engagement, workshops, future-mapping and community research with seniors and neighbourhood community researchers.
Through photos and stories, the exhibition invites us to reflect on “Living the Good Life” — reimagining ageing not as decline, but as a life rooted in connection, resilience, belonging, purpose and creativity.
