Living through Loss
Description
Grief is something we all experience, yet most of us were never taught about it.
This session offers a chance to learn more about grief in a safe and supportive space, while sharing food and a cuppa. We’ll explore some common myths about grief, the many kinds of loss we can experience (not just death), and how grief can look and feel different for everyone. You’ll come away with simple, practical ideas for looking after yourself and supporting others through grief.
Is this session right for you?
This education session explores themes of grief, loss, and change. Despite the heavy topics we cover, most attendees leave feeling lighter and inspired to use the knowledge and skills shared. However, grief is nonlinear, and big emotions can seemingly come out of nowhere. It is completely okay if you become emotional in the session; that’s normal, we will work to create a supportive environment to share and connect. Please reflect on where you are at in your grieving journey to decide if this session is right for you. We hope to see you there.
This event is being facilitated by Palliative Care Tasmania.
