Living with an Invisible Illness - Albany
Event description
Living with an Invisible Illness
Life with an invisible illness can sometimes be an isolating experience. Certain chronic conditions, like ADHD, multiple sclerosis, depression, and COPD, can't be seen, so it's hard for others to know what it's like to live with such challenges
We are conquerors, we are survivors, but we are also sufferers. It is commonly misunderstood that a person cannot be both, but we wake up and go through each day understanding the reality of our health circumstances, which includes being honest with ourselves and those around us.
Discussing personal limits and honoring the body’s boundaries should not be taboo topics.”
Living with an invisible illness is challenging, necessitating a variety of skills to help you make it through each day with a sense of satisfaction.
Our information session will hopefully help you learn a few ways of living with a hidden condition
Bring along your family & friends so they can hear from others who are living with an invisible illness.
We have invited people from both the holistic and medical professions to come and talk about different ways to live with an invisible illness and how it can affect you
