Event description
Living Your Breast Life Gala
Our founder and inspiration, Lee Milligan is celebrating five years in remission!! She is driven to give back to support other women going through breast cancer treatment. Lee has chosen this foundation after a memorable holiday with her family gifted by The Otis Foundation. As a previous recipient of the generosity of the Otis Foundation during Lee's own cancer battle at the age of 35, she can appreciate firsthand just how invaluable the work of the Otis Foundation is. Husband James, and then 1- and 3-year-old daughters and were able to enjoy a much-needed respite stay at one of their retreat properties. Lee truly believe's that this time to relax, reconnect and regroup significantly contributed to her recovery as well as providing her family with much-needed support. The Otis Foundation is recognised and recommended by oncologists all over Australia to patients to help aid the psychological impact a diagnosis has on a family.
For this, being our inaugural year of Living Your Breast Life, the goal is to raise sufficient funds for 60-80 families to receive the precious gift of time together, away from the stress of everyday life and the dread of medical obligations.
A unique evening of sophisticated flair is promised! It will be a memorable evening with a celebratory atmosphere including fabulous food, live music, dancing, games, auctions and of course, fabulous attendees!
We aim to contribute to the cause from ticket sales as well as auctions and raffles.
