Struggling to connect and find meaningful 1:1 time with your daughter?Â
This is the program for you! This 6-week program will leave you feeling inspired, empowered and connected with your daughter. We want to encourage you to meet others with pre-teen daughters and to develop self-worth and identity!
The goal of the project is to empower young woman (aged 8 – 13), alongside their mothers, to identify their individual strengths in order to collaboratively tackle issues such as gender-based violence, self-esteem, body image, mental health and interpersonal family relationships.
Weekly topics include:
- Connection - An open conversation with ourselves and each other (2nd October)Â
- Understanding healthy relationships - a compassionate approach (9th October)Â
- Holistic wellbeing - step into the world of meditation and mindfulness (16th October)Â
- Empowerment - loving ourselves and each other (23rd October)Â
- Boundaries - Knowing, communicating and where to turn (30th October)
- Identity - Honoring ourselves through art (Saturday 9th November)
Date: Wednesday evenings, 6 weeks from: 2nd OctoberÂ
Time: 5:30pm - 7:00pm (dinner included)
Location: Room C - Yeppoon Community Centre
Cost: Free! Limited spots available!
