We know it is brave to arrive solo, so you will be made to feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in. Most guests come along alone — and leave with new friends.

Yes — Late Night Library is designed as an ongoing monthly series, with new books, conversations, and themes throughout the year.

What is included in my ticket?

Everything you need for a paint and sip by the sea. We provide your canvas, paints, and brushes, alongside a guided seascape painting workshop with local artist Chloe. We’ll also have glassware ready for whatever BYO bottle you bring along, plus our hosted book discussion on The Light Between Oceans and light table nibbles. All you need to bring is your drink of choice and your reading thoughts! 100% of the Humanitix booking fee goes to charitable causes.

What if I can no longer attend?

Tickets are non-refundable, but they are 100% transferrable. If your plans change, you can easily resell or transfer your ticket through the Humanitix resale feature.

🌊 LATE NIGHT LIBRARY // CHAPTER 07: SUNSET SEASCAPE SIP & PAINT

For our October chapter, Late Night Library is headed to the ocean. On Thursday, October 22nd, we’re setting up right on the water’s edge at the iconic Scarborough Beach SLSC for an intimate, golden-hour session of seascape painting, wine, and bookish chatter.

📖 THE READ: The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman

To match our ocean backdrop, this month’s selection is M.L. Stedman’s modern Australian classic, The Light Between Oceans - a beautiful novel of love, isolation, and moral crossroads set against the West Australian coast. Throughout the evening themes and prompts from the book will be woven into our painting session.

🖌️ THE COLLABORATION:

We are so delighted to be collaborating with local artist Chloe - a favourite face from our recent LNL evenings! Chloe will be guiding us step-by-step through a seascape painting session tailored to the mood and light of the coast. Whether you haven't picked up a paint brush since childhood or are an avid artist, all are welcome and will leave with your very own canvas to take home.

We’ve been so fortunate that our recent chapters have sold out, and we love nothing more than seeing every single Late Night Librarian in the room! For this chapter, as it’s a guided session, we’re keeping capacity set to 40 seats. This ensures everyone has plenty of space, a clear line of sight, and an intimate, relaxed atmosphere to paint and chat.
