Take a tour through Geraldton Fishermen's Co-operative's 90-tonne lobster facility, the main staging point for western rock lobster caught in the region. The tour is guided by factory staff and local fishers, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at a global seafood producer that has been a part of the town for over 70 years.
With a treasure hunt around the factory for school children and a free sample of lobster at the end, this tour will teach attendees about the sustainable practices of this world-leading lobster fishery.
Occupational safety and healthÂ
- Â Sturdy, enclosed footwear must be worn (no sandals/ thongs etc.)Â
- Hat or hairnet required when in the factory (hairnets provided)Â
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adultÂ
- Masks may need to be worn within the venue.
- This event is free but you must register for a ticket as places are limited & our standard OH&S requirements which you already have. Â
- This tour takes place in a working factory so last-minute COVID restrictions might impact whether this tour can take place. Guests will be emailed and notified of any change to their tour. Â
