THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT

The varied scenic terrain provides a wealth of options so that runners can choose what suits them best. To cater for the broadest range of running abilities, we have laps from less than a Parkrun (4k) to 34k (for our 2 person teams). There are plenty of rises and drops over the course so something for most people. For the popular 8 person team, the longest lap is 11k, plenty of distance to show what you can do. Juniors (14 to 19) and masters (Men over 60, Women over 50) along with those happy to run the shorter course have 6 person teams who, together, complete one long loop of 39k. The 8 person (or 2 person) teams run 2 loops which total 68k. With staggered starts we expect most people to finish within an hour or so of each other. Race time could be from about 6.5 hours to less than 4.
