Local Author and Illustrator Storytime
Event description
Our regular storytime is being taken over by a local author and illustrator! Join Cheryl Lock and Taylor Miller as they read their new book The Party in the Old Brown Barn. Following the storytime, there will be a drawing demonstration. Cheryl and Taylor will sign books purchased at the storytime.
About the book: When the old brown barn at the end of the street is torn down to make way for something new, the animals that live there have a choice: They can focus on feeling sad or make the most of the time they have.
In this delightfully illustrated picture book, kids learn a valuable lesson about making the most of the situations we're given. Children will also learn about the different habitats for the animals that live in the old brown barn at the end of the street. They'll discover some of the different ways that we can live harmoniously with the world around us, and what we can do to help preserve nature.
