Description

Join local author Marvin Gilman as he discusses his new release of poems, Pomes Pommery: A Memoir in Verse.

In Pomes Pommery: A Memoir in Verse, Dr. Marvin Gilman records the celebrities, circumstances, events and ideologies that have shaped his life. He elaborates on the tensions that have percolated through the second half of the twentieth century, in his poetic connections to James Dean, Alfred Hitchcock, Norman Lindsay and Jim Morrison.

Prior to his reading from Pomes Pommery: A Memoir in Verse, Dr. Marvin Gilman will also share his examination and insights from his recent self-published book, The Little Red Book of American Culture.
