In alphabetical order by book title:

Empty into Being by Sacharissa Evans

Empty into Being is a collection of short, insightful and direct Zen-inspired poems relating to our every day life struggles and joys. Simple, direct and yet gentle and calming. Where few words can say so much. An offering to a somewhat troubled world. Accompanied by original art.

About Sacharissa: Mature age surfer, poet, artist, nature lover and soul searcher. Spiritual grower. Gardener. Reader. Female. Grandmother. Mother.

Sacharissa is the daughter of Anna Hamilton, a noteworthy local ceramic artist of Bayview of the 1960s/70s and descended from writer Hugh McCrae. She was born on the Northern Beaches, after time away at college she returned to raise two sons in Narrabeen. She is writer of poetry, songs and prose for more than 25 years.

Fear and Love by Piia Nykanen

Fear and Love is a compelling exploration of the forces that shape the human experience. Through an intense narrative, told by the voice of Love, this contemporary fiction novel examines the fragile balance between vulnerability and strength, revealing how profound transformation can emerge from even the darkest moments.

About Piia: Piia is a freelance writer and editor local to Manly and the author of the contemporary fiction novel Fear and Love. She holds a BA (Hons) and MA from London, UK, and has extensive experience working in media, film, and television in both Australia and overseas. She is a passionate advocate for domestic violence prevention and awareness.

Odd Jobs by Roger Treagus

Odd Jobs is a kaleidoscope of experiences that make up the story of a weird and wonderful career. Roger Treagus could not have imagined what lay ahead when he took on his first job as a printer's assistant. What followed was more of a wild ride than what is normally taken for a career. Roger became a postman, gardener, photographer, spy, weatherman and lighthouse inspector just for starters, never really knowing what would be next. The story is not just about the jobs, as each came with its own assortment of fascinating characters with their own stories to tell. We meet ancient bushmen, then World Bank Executives, to pipe-smoking First-Nation elders advising on caribou migrations and the fiery Chilean captain of a doomed ship. The account ends with an unsolved mystery posed as yet another work adventure.

About Roger: Roger Treagus was born in Sydney to a fashion journalist mother and educated in a privileged private grammar school, where he failed at everything. Assisting his mother in her oddball career inspired Roger to embark on his own career adventure, which spanned five continents in search of that next big job. He started as a sewerage worker, postman and gardener, became a spy, a weatherman, lighthouse inspector and filmmaker, eventually making it as a scientist with a tally of 45 separate jobs so far and more to come. Roger now resides on Sydney's Northern Beaches with his journalist wife who edited the book and designed the concept for the cover.

Books will be available for purchase and signing on the night from the authors. Some authors can only take cash payments.
