Join us for a morning exploring two new Water Stewardship Program demonstration sites near Bombay and Braidwood in the Southern Tablelands, supported by Bombay Landcare, Upper Shoalhaven Landcare and presented by Mulloon Institute.

Across two short field walks, we'll take a close look at the restoration approaches being used at each site, including in-stream natural infrastructure, riparian fencing and revegetation works, and discuss the role these interventions play in supporting healthier waterways and landscapes.

We'll also explore how the sites are being monitored, sharing practical and accessible methods such as sound monitoring, holistic assessments of soil health, water watch and structure health scorecards to track change over time.

Whether you're actively involved in a project, interested in restoring your own creek or simply curious about local landscape restoration efforts, this is a great opportunity to see the work firsthand, ask questions and connect with others in the community.

Bombay Landcare Group was formed in the early 1990s and is still going strong, committed to creating healthy landscapes and communities by sharing experiences, continuing their education and building a strong and vibrant rural neighbourhood.

This event is part of Mulloon Institute’s Water Stewardship Program, a bold initiative supported by WaterNSW and The Ian Potter Foundation. The program empowers communities in the Sydney Drinking Water Catchment to restore local water cycles, improve water quality, and build resilience to climate change through nature-based solutions.

The field day also celebrates the launch of a Landscape Rehydration Community of Practice and Demonstration Site in the Bombay Creek and Brushy Hill Creek Catchments — an exciting opportunity for local landholders to connect, learn, and collaborate on regenerative water and land management.

Mulloon Institute is a leading research and education organisation helping to build resilient regional communities by supporting the long-term, sustainable growth of Australian agriculture.
