Local plants, animals & kites at Glenthorne
Event description
Be inspired by the natural surroundings, wildlife and local plants that you will discover on self guided walks of Glenthorne National park. Use these insights to put on canvas of your own kite to take to the skies as we run a kite making workshop for all to enjoy.
We will use a unique range of experiences in Glenthorne National Park – Ityamaiitpinna Yarta that sees participants explore Kaurna and European history, discover unique flora and fauna, engage in experiences centred around connection and wellbeing.
Kites offer a sense of mindfulness and some old fashion fun that can be continued after the event itself.
*Meet at the large white flag to check in for your pre booked activity.
You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the national park and bikes to use on the bike trails. Please remember all rubbish must be taken home with you as it's a National Park and no rubbish bins exist in the park. Wrapper-free food is encouraged.
All ages welcome from 3yrs+, toilets nearby, adventure playground, car parking available & bbq's. Wheelchair accessible. Dog friendly but must be kept on a lead at all times.
*Parent/carers must stay to supervise children participating in the activity.
