'Locally Grown' - The Fire and Wine Edition with Richard Learmonth
Event description
A FIRE AND WINE EDITION OF ‘LOCALLY GROWN’ WITH RICHARD LEARMONTH FOR ORANGE WINE FESTIVAL
This October, locals and visitors alike are invited to join a special edition of Hotel Canobolas' acclaimed ‘Locally Grown’ event series, celebrating the bounty of the Central West in collaboration with the renowned Orange Wine Festival - which brings over 40 fantastic events to Orange over three packed weekends - and local chef Richard Learmonth.
On Saturday 18th October, from 5pm, the charming Hotel Canobolas courtyard will come alive with the crackle of live fire, the aroma of slow-cooked local produce, a live musical performance, and the spirit of community.
This relaxed, sociable evening will feature celebrated local chef Richard Learmonth – known for his leadership at multi-hatted restaurants such as Porteno and Restaurant Pendolino, as well as his award-winning menus at Sister’s Rock Winery – showcasing his masterful skill at cooking over live fire.
Guests will be treated to a mouthwatering menu featuring:
Whole pig on the spit from Trunkey Pork, a family-run Orange business raising 100% locally grown, free-range pork.
Slow-cooked Kinross Lamb, prepared low and slow over the courtyard fire pit.
A glass of fine wine served on arrival, with local winemaker Swinging Bridge providing a perfect regional accompaniment.
The Orange Wine Festival offers a unique opportunity for producers, winemakers, chefs, and food lovers to come together in celebration of Central West’s exceptional food and wine culture, and we are so excited to bring this event to the program.
Tickets are $35 per person and include a plate of barbecue (including Trunkey Pork, Kinross Lamb, and side) and a glass of Swinging Bridge wine on arrival.
