Locals Lawn Family Zone is a free New Year’s Eve celebration created especially for the local community. Set adjacent to elrow Sydney XXL, the space will feature family-friendly entertainment, roaming performers, food and drink, plus plenty of room to gather with friends and family and watch the 9pm fireworks.

This year, Locals Lawn will be located at the southern end of Bondi Beach Park, between the Skate Park and Icebergs, bringing the NYE atmosphere to one of Bondi’s most iconic stretches of coastline.

2025 Ticket Holder Ballot Opens: 12pm AEST 17 Sept 2026
2025 Ticket Holder Ballot Closes: 12pm AEST 1 Oct 2026
2025 Ticket Holder Ballot Processed: 2 October 2026

Any remaining tickets will be distributed by the 2026 Ballot:

2026 Ballot Opens: 12pm AEST 6 October 2026
2026 Ballot Closes: 12pm AEDT 31 October 2026
2026 Ballot Processed: 1 November 2026

Ballot eligibility

Tickets to Locals Lawn Family Zone will be distributed via a ballot. 2025 Ticket Holders are automatically eligible for the 2025 Ticket Holder Ballot. To be eligible for the 2026 Ballot you, and those you request tickets for, must reside in postcodes 2022, 2023, 2024, 2026, 2029, 2023, 2030, 2031 and 2034.

In the event where we have more ballot entries than space, 2026 residents will be drawn first at random, followed by Waverley Council postcodes, then other eligible postcodes at random.
