Each artist/artworker asks how art might engage with space/s outside the traditional gallery context? Each participant has different experiences regarding this question, from festivals involving community, as seen in the work of Francis Van der Mark, to exploring concepts of memory and water ecology, as found in the work of Annette Wagner, or listening to country as found with the Boorook music project. This event offers an opportunity to share these experiences. This event will be seen in relation to the group exhibition “Ghost Ships: Memory Sites, Memory Traces” to be held at the F Project Gallery, Warrnambool in January 2026 and is supported by Deakin University with the assistance of the Eric Ormond Baker Charitable Fund.
Join us at F Project for short presentations, conversations and yarning on considering the potential for art to exist out the Western white box.
