Please join Women Who Whiskey Los Angeles for an evening of Single Estate Farm Distilleries featuring SIX award-winning single estate, single malt whiskies from @lochleawhisky and @spiritofyorkshire on Wednesday, May 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Harlowe in West Hollywood.

We are excited to welcome David Thompson, Co-Founder of Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, and Emma Kirk, the On Trade Brand Executive for Lochlea Distillery! Emma was just awarded "Whisky Rep of the Year" at the Scottish Whisky Awards (Congrats, Emma!)

David will taste us through the following. award-winning Filey Bay whiskies from the Yorkshire coast in England:

The Spirit of Yorkshire, which produces Filey Bay Single Malt Scotch, is the first distillery in Yorkshire. It is also a sustainable working farm for a field to bottle whiskey. The late, great Dr. Jim Swan, renowned for his expertise with cask aging, was a mentor.

Emma will taste us through the following three expressions from independent, family-owned, Lochlea single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Ayrshire in the Scottish Lowlands. Lochlea's Master Blender John Campbell is the legendary, former Distillery Manager of Laphroaig! Lochlea grows and harvests their own barley and has been "Highly Commended" as a "Brand Innovator" and as a "Sustainable Distillery" by the Icons of Whisky 2023.

-- Lochlea Our Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky: Matured in a combination of First Fill Bourbon Casks, Oloroso Sherry casks and STR Barriques

-- Lochlea Ploughing Edition 2nd Crop Single Malt Scotch Whisky: Matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks.

-- Lochlea Fallow Edition 2nd Crop Single Malt Scotch Whisky: Matured in ex-Islay Casks

This is also the land that poet Robert Burns tended when he lived at Lochlea Farm, inspiring his thinking and development.
