On this special after dark tour, you will explore the shadowy corners and past echoes of the Locomotive Workshop with your expert guide Natalie Vinton, CEO of Curio Projects. During this hour long, lantern-led tour, Natalie will share some of the heritage secrets and insights of the precinct, guide you through spaces not usually open to the public, and share the stories behind the adaptive reuse and interpretation of the site, including some of the darker aspects of its history.

Please note that this tour is not suitable for children and may contain adult themes.

Your Guide

Over the last 25 years, Natalie has worked on a large variety of local, State and Nationally significant heritage projects in various capacities from heritage management roles at State and Local Government through to her current role as Founder and CEO of Curio Projects.

Natalie is a serving member of the NSW State Heritage Register Committee and sits on the NSW Government Architect’s State Design Review Panel. She has served as a member of the NSW History Council and Archaeology Advisory Panel for the NSW Heritage Council. An Archaeologist by training, Natalie specialises in providing pragmatic, innovative heritage, interpretative and archaeological solutions, always ensuring that the outcomes continue to connect with community needs and values.

Natalie has been working with Mirvac in the South Eveleigh precinct since 2015 to deliver a holistic and innovative approach to heritage management through interpretation, storytelling and placemaking to create sustainable and exciting cultural legacies.

South Eveleigh can easily be reached via public transport – just a short walk from Redfern Station. Convenient parking is available at 2 Central Avenue – 2 hours free with validation at retailers on weekdays and free with entry after 6pm.
