The Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island proudly presents the 1st Annual Long Island Book Crawl — a full day literary adventure on three chartered luxury buses visiting 8 of Long Island's most beloved independent bookstores across Nassau and Suffolk County on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026.

Each ticket includes a blind date with a book, custom tote bag, official bookstore passport to stamp at every stop, exclusive swag, and digital discount card valid at all 8 stores.

Choose your bus at checkout — Merrick, Massapequa or Oyster Bay LIRR — and spend 40 minutes at each of 8 hand-picked indie bookstores while we handle all the driving. Lunch is on you at our curated partner restaurants along the route.

🚌 PICKUP LOCATIONS and SCHEDULE:

🔵 Bus Merrick LIRR: 8:45am - 7:00pm

🟢 Bus Massapequa LIRR: 9:15am - 7:50pm

🟠 Bus Oyster Bay LIRR: 9:45am - 8:15pm

Please arrive at your pickup location at least 30 minutes before departure. Free parking is available at all three LIRR stations. Each bus returns to its original pickup station at the end of the day.

🍽️ LUNCH

A 45-minute lunch break is included in the schedule at a curated partner restaurant along the route. Lunch is at your own expense. Each bus visits a different restaurant in a different town, so every bus has a unique experience!

Will there be food on the bus?

We recommend eating breakfast before departure. Lunch is at a curated partner restaurant at your own expense. Light snacks are not provided but feel free to bring your own!

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes and walking shoes — you'll be exploring beautiful Long Island towns!

Can I buy tickets at the door?

No — this is a pre-ticketed event only. All tickets must be purchased in advance through this page.

How will I receive my discount card?

Your digital discount card will be emailed to you the morning of October 3rd with exclusive discounts from all 8 bookstores.

By purchasing a ticket to the 1st Annual Long Island Book Crawl hosted by the Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island LLC, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risk You voluntarily participate in this event and assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, accident, property damage or loss.

2. Release of Liability You release and hold harmless the Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island LLC, its founder, organizers, volunteers, bus hosts, and any affiliated partners from any and all claims, damages, losses or expenses arising from your participation in this event.

3. Transportation The Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island LLC is not responsible for any injuries, accidents or incidents occurring during transportation provided by Coachman Luxury Transport or any third party charter bus company.

4. Accessibility

Our chartered buses may not be ADA accessible. Guests requiring wheelchair access, mobility assistance or other accessibility accommodations must contact us at AudiobookWalkingClubLI@gmail.com BEFORE purchasing a ticket so we can advise accordingly. The Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island LLC is not responsible for accessibility limitations of third party transportation providers.

5. Personal Belongings The Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island LLC is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings during the event.

6.Medical Emergencies In the event of a medical emergency, organizers will contact emergency services. You consent to emergency medical treatment if necessary. The Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island LLC is not responsible for any medical costs incurred.

7.Weather & Cancellation This is a rain or shine event. In the unlikely event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control, ticket holders will be notified and offered a credit toward a future event. No cash refunds will be issued.

8.Behavior You agree to conduct yourself in a respectful manner toward fellow attendees, bookstore staff, bus drivers and event organizers. The Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island LLC reserves the right to remove any attendee from the event for disruptive or inappropriate behavior without refund.

9.Photography & Media By attending this event you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes by the Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island LLC and its partners. If you do not wish to be photographed please notify your bus host at the start of the event.

10.Alcohol You acknowledge that alcohol may be available for purchase at certain stops during the event. You accept full personal responsibility for your own alcohol consumption. You must be 21 or older to purchase alcohol. The Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island LLC is not responsible for the actions of any attendee under the influence of alcohol.

11.Refund & Transfer Policy All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Tickets are fully transferable through the Humanitix resale system. To transfer your ticket click "Manage Order" in your confirmation email.

12. Age Requirement All attendees must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this event.

13.Seatbelts All passengers are required by law to wear seatbelts at all times while aboard the chartered vehicle. By purchasing a ticket you agree to wear your seatbelt and comply with all bus driver instructions.

14.Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Audiobook Walking Club of Long Island LLC from any claims arising from your actions during the event.
