About His Eminence:

His Eminence Jhado Rinpoche has graciously agreed to bestow the Kalachakra Initiation, followed by a month-long Mind Mandala retreat from mid-September until October 18 at The Great Stupa this year.

His Eminence is a highly esteemed lama in the Gelug lineage; one of the very few recognised modern masters who can confer the Kalachakra Initiation.

For many years, His Eminence held the position of abbot at Namgyel, the monastery of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, India.

Long Life Puja:

One of the most moving ceremonies in Tibetan Buddhism is the long life ceremony for a teacher, an elaborate display of devotion towards them, consisting of heartfelt prayers and praises, and a procession of symbolic offerings, to create the causes and conditions of the students to continue to receive teachings from His Eminence for a very long time.

We will be offering an extended walk-by ceremony to express our deep gratitude to His Eminence Jhado Rinpoche for conferring the Kalachakra Initiation and for compassionately guiding us on the Retreat. His presence, wisdom, kindness and blessings will be a profound source of inspiration for us all.
