Special Event:  Festival Welcome Dinner 2025

Date: Friday 3 October 2025

Venue:  Homegrown Cafe Garden, 4/6 Little Main Street, Palmwoods, Hinterland, Sunshine Coast. 

Event Schedule

  • 5:00 PM Patrons arrive, mingle, and connect

  • 5:30 PM Dinner service begins (patrons seated)

  • 7:00 PM Meal concludes

  • 7:00 PM Festival Welcome with Uncle Lyndon Davis & Gubbi Gubbi Dance at Piccabeen Green (across the road, outside the hall)

  • 7:30 PM Opening Festival Concert: Migrating Bird at Palmwoods Memorial Hall

    • Featuring Véronique Serret (rock experimental violin & voice) with band, fresh from Brisbane Festival

    • Special guest: William Barton (didgeridoo & guitar)

    • Support act: Layla Havana, emerging Sunshine Coast First Nations singer-songwriter

    • Concert tickets purchased separately

Drinks:  A variety of soft drinks will be available for purchase or patrons are welcome to BYO drinks.

Bookings: For specific seating and group reservations, please phone Sarah at Homegrown Cafe on 0458 270 368. Bookings close Monday 29 September 5pm for this exclusive festival dining experience. 

Cost: $95 pp for a sumptuous four course feast with festival artist cameos between courses. 

Menu:  A special set four course menu featuring locally-sourced, finest local ingredients, thoughtfully curated by Sarah to celebrate Spring Harvest and highlight the region’s bounty and best artisans.  

Festival Artist Cameos: Our festival artists will welcome guests with beautiful music upon arrival and between courses.

Entrée: Spring vegetable & miso soup with house-made focaccia

Secondi: Fraser Isle spanner crab crostini with broad beans & pickled samphire

Main: Snapper en papillote with new potatoes, pink peppercorns & capers accompanied by seasonal spring greens

Dessert: Silky lemon posset with fresh blueberries & fennel shortbread thins

Sarah can cater for vegan, vegetarian, and dairy-free options.
