The Sydney Brain Tumour Program, together with Oxford Nanopore Technologies and Chris O'Brien Lifehouse, are excited to invite you to a half-day symposium on ‘Long Read Sequencing for Cancer’.

Our keynote speaker is Professor Matthew Loose (University of Nottingham, UK), the architect of ROBIN – an assay that enables rapid comprehensive molecular profiling of brain tumours, including information that can be provided to neurosurgeons intraoperatively, in real-time.

Our speaker line-up also includes Prof David Ziegler (Children’s Cancer Institute/Sydney Children's Hospital/UNSW), A/Prof Martin Smith (Director, Ramaciotti Centre for Genomics), Dr Luiza Steffens Reinhardt (University of Newcastle / NSW Health Pathology), Dr Marjan Naeini (Garvan Institute of Medical Research), Dr Hugh French (NSW Health Pathology / Royal Prince Alfred Hospital) and Dr Franki Tse (UTS / RPA).

This event will provide fascinating insights into the current and future perspectives of long read sequencing with a focus on improving cancer care.
