    Event description

    Explore the geology of this outstanding headland along a new Ku-ring-gai GeoRegion trail. Hear about 248 million year old trace fossils, the legendary copper mine, shipwrecks, and complex rock structure with Dr Peter Mitchell OAM.

    Meet at the boat ramp on Fishermans Beach as per the above coloured map at 9.45amm for a 10am start.

    Paid parking along the Golf Club Rd but free in the surrounding streets.

    Bring a water bottle, snack, sunscreen, a hat, and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet.

    Distance 2.5km. Slippery and uneven surfaces, and a climb to the lookout.  No dogs and no collecting.
