This event serves as a continuation of Aoifa nic giolla Bhride (No.9)/Shrieking’s honours project titled ‘Longing for comfort’ a fashion design project that imagines the closet, and clothes as a source of queer euphoria and how the bedroom can be seen as a safe space or third space.

It draws from José Esteban Muñoz’s ideas of queer dreaming and utopias, immersing our community in the potential queer realities and futures through our practices of art and worldbuilding. Through longing for slumber we hope to bring the theories and effects discussed in the thesis to life through a community event.
