Look Club
Event description
‘What’s going on in this picture?’
Look Club is the practice of looking, talking, listening, and engaging with art and each other.
Hamilton Gallery’s Look Club is a dedicated Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) program fostering collaborative, inclusive, community-building dialogue between people from all walks of life, art experiences and skills.
It all starts with one question, ‘what’s going on in this picture?’. From here, VTS teaches people to carefully observe, evaluate, synthesise, justify, and speculate on what they can see in a prescribed artwork from Emerging from Darkness.
VTS improves communications for all ages, encouraging life-long learning and interactivity in balanced and inclusive ways. Schools, community groups, tours and educational providers are encouraged to book a VTS session via our website.
Look Club is a visual based program, please advise prior to attending if you are low vision so our staff can provide you with additional support to assist you during the program.
Tickets include access to the exhibition, with four monthly sessions available in December, January, February and March.
