Looping with Paper Twine
Description
Join me for a hands-on workshop and learn the ancient art of looped basketry.
Looping, also known as knotless netting, is a versatile technique with a history spanning back thousands of years and found in many cultures around the world.
This technique can be used to create both functional and sculptural pieces.
In this class you'll use paper twine to loop on a form to create a beautiful lightweight basket.
The repetitive, rhythmic stitch fosters a mindful and meditative creative environment that you can relax into.
All materials provided.
Perfect for beginners.
No previous basketry experience is required.
By the end of the workshop, you will leave with your own handcrafted basket, along with the skills and confidence to continue your looping journey.
Please note:
You will receive a confirmation email 24 hours from the event.
