About the Event

Join Lora Sky Choir for a beautiful afternoon of music this spring, bringing together children’s, youth and adult voices in a celebration of growth, creativity and connection.

Set within St Andrew’s Anglican Church in Brighton, this concert showcases the joy of singing across generations, languages and cultures. From the clarity of children’s voices to the expressive harmonies of our youth and adult singers, each ensemble brings its own colour and character to the stage.

The afternoon also celebrates a special milestone: one year since the official formation of our youth choir. Behind every performance are months of dedicated rehearsals, shared challenges and growing confidence. We look forward to sharing the music and friendships we have nurtured along the way.

At Lora Sky, we support children as both ensemble singers and individual performers. This concert brings those experiences together, celebrating what our singers can achieve as a choir while giving young performers opportunities to share their own voices through solos, duets and small-group performances.

Voices Across Generations

Experience the energy and imagination of our children’s and youth choirs alongside the warmth and rich harmonies of our adult singers. Together, they celebrate music as a source of connection at every stage of life.

Music Across Cultures

A varied programme brings Chinese poetry and song together with contemporary choral works and international repertoire, offering moments of tenderness, rhythmic vitality and reflection.

Growing Together, Shining Individually

Alongside the choral programme, young singers will take the spotlight in solos, duets and small-group performances.

Choir singing develops listening, musical awareness and teamwork. Individual performances encourage children to discover their own voices, sing with expression and build confidence on stage. These experiences strengthen one another: the sensitivity developed in choir enriches solo singing, while individual confidence helps each singer contribute more assuredly to the ensemble.

This concert celebrates both the beauty of a shared sound and the unique voice each child brings.
